About Us
Working together to end homlessness
Central Highlands Housing Alliance (CHHA) agencies are dedicated to providing homelessness support that treats every individual with dignity, respect, and compassion. We work collaboratively within our alliance and with a wide range of social, health, government services, and community partners.

CHHA is proud to advocate for positive change and actively participate in a collective effort to improve the lives of people across the Central Highlands. We believe that by coming together as a community, we can make meaningful progress toward ending homelessness.
Our Members
The Central Highlands Housing Alliance (CHHA) is a partnership of eleven agencies dedicated to supporting individuals and families who are experiencing, or at risk of, homelessness or family violence. Our member agencies operate across six local government areas in the Central Highlands region, including Ballarat, Ararat, Pyrenees, Hepburn, Moorabool, and Golden Plains.

As not-for-profit organizations, we are funded through grants from the Department of Families, Fairness and Housing (DFFH), alongside contributions from charitable and community donations. Together, we work to provide essential services to vulnerable populations, striving to improve lives and create pathways out of homelessness.
The CHHA operates with three distinct groups, all of which meet regularly to collaborate towards our shared mission:
The Executive Group: Made up of CEOs and senior managers.
The Operational Group: Comprising senior and middle managers.
The Practitioner Group: Consisting of case workers.
Each group is guided by a Chair and governed by its own Terms of Reference, ensuring structured and strategic progress towards our goal of ending homelessness in the Central Highlands region.
